Ghent Changed The Way I Look At Aesthetic Surgery.
After completing his plastic surgery training, Dr. Charan pursued advanced aesthetic surgery training at the Coupure Centrum voor Plastische Chirurgie in Ghent, Belgium.
There he trained with internationally recognised aesthetic plastic surgeons Dr. Patrick Tonnard and Dr. Alexis Verpaele.
His exposure to gender-affirming surgery also included training with Prof. Stan Monstrey at Ghent University Hospital.

An eye for form is trained in galleries as much as in operating rooms.
Between operating days, the months in Belgium were also spent among sculpture and painting — proportion, light, line and restraint studied in marble and oil, then carried quietly back into surgical planning.
